How To Get Songs Off The Akai Mpc 2000

I just got a mpc 2000 and ive made a couple of beats on it, but how do i get the beats off so i can burn it to a cd

you need a external cd burner, or hook it up to your soundcard and record it into a multi tracking program

theres lots of good programs, cubase, sonar ect. i would personally get this http://m-audio.com/products/en_us/FireWire410-main.html with pro tools m-powered. as far as hooking it up, you have to send the outs of your mpc into the ins of your soundcard

I have a Tascam cd burner that I just record to from my mixers main outs (mpc 8 outs go into the mixer). It works fine for me and I'm not itchin' for anything more. But for max editability of your beats, go with 50 Cal's suggestion of the interface/software multi-tracker.

Or you could get a hardware multitracking workstation like the Roland VS series.
