Leasing beats via email?

Yo @OGBama recommended me over here, thanks for introducing me to this site g^

How can I protect myself as a producer when sending out tracks to artists?

What is standard protocol in the industry?

Should I post on YouTube and send them a link via DM/email?

Just do the contract thru beatstars?

Do any real rappers use beatstars or is this more for records that go absolutely nowhere?

Should I email them the wav instead? Likely not if I want to protect myself.

I’d prefer to know who I’m doing business with. Certain people should be charged differently. If they suck, I don’t want them on the track at all...

How are y’all actually doing this? Can someone break down this process for me?

The Donald Passman book is just making me feel more screwed as I do not currently have lawyer money.

I’ve got some songs I am very confident in, with certain artists in mind. How to proceed?

Im an artist, so from my view and how i work.

I buy beats off beatstarz pretty often - i get sent the contract/email with the beat, simple as that, all proof is in mine and producers emails.
Unless the artist is going to make a million off your beat, dont stress too much about it man
