Ok so #1, use a keyword tool like: https://keywordtool.io/youtube

It's hard to compare yourself to someone you'll never sound 100% like, but to do this just listen to a lot of music and you will find the comparisons naturally.

Here's a good example, this is a Lil Tecca type beat. I've heard like 1 Lil Tecca album, I thought it was a good fit:


Personally, I think type beats are dumb but it's all just a marketing thing so don't take it personally, nobody is going to flame you if you put the wrong artist or an artist the beat sounds nothing like. On the flip side, a track might blow up because you put the right artist..
