Thanks this is very informative, but you know that your really into this recording shit if you can watch this for long because buddy is very monotone..

Ya I used that technique to get that 80's drum sound. Its cool sometimes

I've tried the technic many times before.. i can never get a good full sound from it. i think i'll stick with layering for that fullness effect. It's a good vid though, that's how its done.
