Phantom 48v

So i got this new mic, and i need a pre amp to get it workin
I haven't bought a pre amp yet, but i was looking to get a phantom 48v
On the preamp it says Mic Input, and Mic Output...
Does this mean I have to buy another mic cord?

yes, but you could buy a mixer w/ phantom power and avoid buying another mic cable LOL
