any thoughts on yet another example of hollywood replacing the main characters of a novel or animated show from non-white to white? thank gos neil gaimon has turned down any attempt for the studios to turn the Anansi Boys into white.
for an industry that has been taken to task for it's lack of 'diversity' and only creating token roles and still steep into stereotypes,is this acceptable?
do you mind that tv, film, and book publishers (including comics) are basically saying that you can never accept a story where the main protagonists aren't white? that the heroes to save the world, and the dark people, must be white?
