Today MySpace locked up my player because of a Havoc "I'm The Boss" Remix I did. I did read in these forums a while back that MS was gonna crack down on that. I really don't see it as copyright infringement. If anything it's advertisement for the artist's upcoming release. When I post my remixes, I put up the CD cover usually with the advertised "IN STORE " release date with the record label info as the song's avatar. Why even put acappellas out if they don't want DJs and beat cats to mash up joints. My friend argues that .... "the artist wont get paid for your remix, those acappellas are for DJs in the club.". I said the artist won't get paid from the DJ mixing his shit in the club, either.

But like I say good point, fuckin hiphop aint the way it used to be when you could just do whatever with the music, it was about making good music..
Thats wack they did that to you..

I had a similar situation when I did a remix of jay-z 99 problems but MS didnt lock up my player, I got a message stating it was copywright infringement and I could potentially have my acct closed. There's always Crackspace

Damn! They sent you the TEXT! I think I would have been scared shitless! I get nervous when that add pops up "YOU HAVE PORN ON YOUR COMPUTER".

I'm not feelin' Crackspace too tough. None of those "types" (< FOR FADE, LOL) of sites can beat Myspace.
