sampling question

on the mpc 2000xl how do i keep my sample on bar..................you know with out it running over top of the next bar............is there some kind of trick to this.......holla back

u need to listen to the sample. and also ur sample needs to be on beat with the sequence. AND TURN YOUR ONE SHOT FORM POLY TO MONO.

thanx for tha info ...........is it better to use short samples when sampling.... because i usally dont run into this problem when i use short samples

Set your MPC to how many ever bars you want the sample to play before it repeats itself. then just play with the tempo until it loops clean or however you want it. example I maight have a sample thats 1 bar, so I would set my mpc to one bar, play the sample, then play with the tempo until its looping correct.
