@RLantigua Very nice one. I like the drums, the melody and the mix. Nothing to add in my opinion.

@producervibes Everything sounds great here. Mix is very good, I like the 808. It has a lot of space for rapper. Maybe one thing I didn't like that much was the melody played on these bells. But overall it's a very good production. Also the way you present it (I'm talking about the video) is very professional. Big thumb up.

I’m gonna throw this one up and then get to dropping feedback on these. Excited for the boom bap. I have something off the SP-808 + MPC-1000. I’d call it boom bap, but I’m not that good at sticking labels on stuff.

@producervibes im diggin the entire track.. the mix and everything sounds wonderful. I agree with @Memento Beats about the melody. but to each his own. It doesnt change that fact thats its a great record. Nice job.

@Memento Beats sounds great. Its not personally my style but i understand it well and you did a great job. i especially like the 808 slides you did. Very trappy and Migoish. Great job.

@RLantigua That's one busy drum section, I'd suggest you to ease back on the hi-hats for the majority of the beat - sounds like you're more accustomed to trap (nothing wrong with mixing the styles, though). Cool sample, sounds like what I usually pull from '70s European ballads when I'm in the mood for some no-brainer flips. Don't quite get why that little riser's there, though.

@Memento Beats I like the portamento bass a lot, you could turn it up a bit, though (this time around I do have the headphones to judge this kind of thing with). The hi-hats could be louder, too, nice rattling sequences there.
Overall, the beat sounds ready for a rapper - it's got just the right amount of layers and complexity to both stand on its own and suit a full vocal song.

Today I've released my second beat tape, check it out here: https://www.illmuzik.com/threads/my-second-beat-tape-selected-flips-from-last-summer.39375/

As for this thread, I've got a beat up with a sample from an unidentified Asian record a dude sent me through Discord. I'm currently trying to find more information on it through just the pictures of the label, wish me luck.

@RLantigua
Dope beat man. Uptempo. Really aggressive, straight ahead vibe. Captures the energy of a chase well. The drums crack. Nice mix. The sonic palette is nice w the different synth sounds you have in there. Action packed.

@producervibes
Nice drum work. Makes for a really clean track. I like the balance & vibe of this... feels like someone’s going on a creep mission. Overall it flows really nice and the place where the drums drop out offers for a nice change up. I wonder if u could squeeze a chorus out of it. Sounds like the same synth line throughout.

@Memento Beats
A big, dark, piano trap beat... sounds good. The piano sounds very grand. Makes things feel extra serious. Nice percussion. This is dope. This track and the previous both capture a nice dramatic transition where the drums drop and the beat is stripped back several layers.... BUT, I wonder if there’s room to include a bridge or chorus where either a completely different melody takes over, or some additional instrument is used to create the variation.

@ConspiracyMuzik
I like the way the drums drop on this track. The instrumentation is nice. The change up is money. This is the sort of variation from the main theme that I miss on some of the other tracks. That synth w the slicer on it is a very cool sound. I like this a lot. Synth heavy but I’m getting more of an old school vibe than a trap vibe, which to me means good things.

@Drago Zetić
Lovin’ this dude. Classic record flip to beautiful results. Boom bap w some really cool and unique stuff that couldn’t be duplicated without messing with the same piece of dusty vinyl. I also believe that funky vocal chops r the spice of life! Will check ur beat tape as well.

Nice beats by all!

what's up trying something different this week wrote this short jazz groove sunday and figured i post it. i will be providing feedback to all from this showcase and a few i forgot to respond to last showcase tomorrow after work.

@Drago Zetić This beat is fire! :eek: Wow! It reminds me a lot about the album by the French producer/beatmaker ONRA titled "Chinoiseries". There a three parts of "Chinoiseries" and they contain beats which were made probably of old chinese records. This beat to me sounds very 'chinese'. I don't know but this is the only word I can come up with and as I said it could be included in "Chinoiseries Part 4". :D But I must say that your beat has more quality than the beats on the records I mentioned, it creates very good atmosphere and it stands out. So concluding, very good job! :D
