yea you got a good base melody going on, the instruments redrum posted above would go very nicely. now obviously you'd have a chorus, intro, and breakdowns as to not throw all these instruments in at the same time.

idk maybe its me, the levels sound a little off and it sounds a little low
 
r u selling it? word throw some cymbals and rhode chords or something. something light i guess that flows with the song. or maybe elec piano.
 
I've run into this before actually. A lot of artists expect a fully mixed, sequenced, and arranged beat when they sit down in a listening session... its nice once you build a level of trust with someone and can sit down with a solid idea and then build around the vocals like they are part of the beat, in the studio.

it does need to be filled out besides whats been mentioned i think you should add a more complex bassline later on in the arrangment maybe in the chorus part.
