Studio One going AI

On one hand I'm not a fan of this AI assistant thing.

On the other, i am pleased to see how they are staying relevant and pioneering and trying to be at the front of the game whilst still trying to remain ethical.

i dont like that it's a third party tool that has a limited use. Wonder if that's part of being subscribed or partnof perpetual license.

I've always like the stem separation plug-ins that are out there, and now to have it right in the DAW is pretty good. However:

Although Moises’ stem separation acumen has long been recognised, the integrations of its smartly generated stems and the seamless ability to switch out vocalists for a range of AI vocal models within the Fender Studio Pro ecosystem could represent quite a leap forward.

Yikes. I don't like that.

As for the AI assistant, yeah that doesn't seem like something I'd want in my DAW. It says that it can help with issues in your mix, and I guess that's cool, but like anything AI, as long as it helps and not take over.

I been speaking with some S1 people and they claim it doesn't help with your mix. The Moises stem separation is like a separate tool, but like it has integration with studio one... you know like how Melodyne does? Cause i think S1 has its own stem splitty (so find it weird to include another).

But i don't like the idea of having something built into your DAW from a third party you have to subscribe to.
