Yo can swing each individual note if you like in the step sequencer.
When you got the step sequencer in front of you you see 2 little fields in the top right of the sequenser next to the swing fader. Click the left one and you see the velocity control for each individual note. You can change the pan, velocity, filter cut, filter res, pitch and last but not least you can shift your notes!!!!
try it, you won't be dissapointed.

P.S. When you use the pianoroll for your drums you should set the snap to none and you can shift your notes anywhere you like.

the swing slider is crap imo.
piano roll is THE shit though.

fuck around with velocity in the hi-hats, turn of the snap function(quantize) in the piano roll and do whatever.

nothing but the truth vince. make sure the hi hat's aren't the same velocity and are unquantized. Piano Roll is your best friend in the f*kin world. it's a grid edit nonetheless.

f.y.i highlight a note or notes and shift+left or shift+right, so you won't have to click and drag all the time!
