using a second screen with your macbook? POSSIBLE?

Say if I use a second 19 or 20' screen with my macbook will I be able to have my sequencer screen for logic on the second screen? or would it not detach? cause im lookin to get a macbook not the pro and just use logic and pro tools on it. But is it even possible to make my laptop like a second screen even though its my main source?

MacBooks have a mini-dvi port, so it will work. You can get a mini-dvi to dvi adaptor and hook it up to your LCD monitor(provided it has dvi).
