Vinyl Samplin for FL

Yo im new to producin and im tryna find out if anyone knows how to get vinyl records onto the computer to put into cooledit. Do i need turntables or is there a easier way?

Also, there was a post a lil while ago here about a USB turntable so you can just plug the usb cord right into your comp's usb port and BAM you're ready to sample

connect the turntable's audio-out (line-out) with your computer soundcard's audio-in (line-in).
that's the easiest way.

you can use any turntable that has a line-out, i used my father's 20 year old "turntable" until it broke and then i bought the numark pt-01 (cheap, light)
if you just want to sample, you can use any turntable, if you want to scratch however, i can't give you any advice on what equipment to buy

ur also gonna need a mixer or amp of some sort to get a better more full signal

aint no other way but a turntable. connect ur turn to your mixer n then in ur mixer outs(red/white) into your soundcard. i use n mbox so i jus connect em to dat.

yeah i know of no other device that plays vinyl except a turntable, so yes you do need turntables
