Hello lads,

This looks like a dope place to share stuff, get some inspiration and advises to progress !

About me: 25 y/o dude, at the moment in Portugal. Always been into Music; started early with Music theory (classical education than jazz), learned piano (organ to be accurate), for 9+ years. In the last years took percussions + drums lessons in parallel.

I recall playing a lot with Garage Band as a kid, but started using Ableton as soon as I got more into it (like... 5-10 years later). Still 100% Ableton right now. Playing a bit of everything, mostly centered around hip hop, but always curious to discover or create something new.

Definitely looking forward to share my stuff, discover yours, get feedback, learn, learn, learn again and, MAYBE one day come up with a decent mix :D

Awesome, Producers like you are what exactly the world needs right now, because you are kinda one with your instrument and what we hear when u play it is what is inside of you, when u put your emotions into it of course. where are you from bro ?

by the way, Welcome to the Family!

Thanks a lot dude: Yeah I'm definitely more focused on the "raw" creation, experimenting on the keys etc.. In all honestly, i'm really not that interested in mixing / mastering, but yeah... I'm waaay to poor to pay someone to do it properly, which led me to learn. 2-3 years ago.
And I'm Swiss, btw.

What about you ? Do you play an instrument ? Where are you from yourself ?

Cheers,

Cheers,

I'm from Tehran, Iran. I have an old casio Ca-100 , im trying to learn how to play it, I'm not an amateur nor a pro pianist atm, but learning it from yt videos. i kinda dont like mixing/mastering cuz it gives me alot of stress, i try to get everything to the most perfect way then i end up spending hours on making 1 thing sound right.

Nice nice, and living in Iran at the moment ? Yeah, mixing/mastering... Can make you soo obsessed.. When you have one specific idea in mind, or want your track to sound EXACTLY like you're thinking... Btw, was listening to your track "Invisible" a bit earlier, it's working pretty well, simple but clean & efficient beat :up2:

Cool cool. Checked it out, honestly I couldn't give you a constructive feedback on the lyrics as I don't write and do not focus on lyrics when listening to music, however would love to hear the final result :)

thats kinda the same thing that i do, except lately, i listened to what exactly rap should be for the first time, it was a Yas song. he was proving points on the a dope beat, but the beat was quiet enough to let you focus on the lyrics, and you needed to focus on the lyrics in order to get the points. the flow was awesome, wordplays were breathtaking, mix was perfect and on and on and on ... since then i started to realized rap is actually about the lyrics and the beat should actually be quiet so we can focus on the lyrics. have you ever thought such simple beats like quiet storm, Survival of the fittest (mobbdeep), Juicy and ... are the most legendary beats ever, though they are really simple and quiet ?

Definitely, totally agreed. And I would add, when you find one of these tracks where everything is so perfectly balanced, where the words are just so right and the music just foregrounds them perfectly, yeah it's the best feeling ever (could give Blackalicious - Deception, in my case).

I @ArvinArmani like simple and quiet beats and I hate busy beats.
