what's this wobbly rhythm thingy? (Go Getta - Chung)

in the drums. there's this... "wub-bub" thingy right before the snares. it adds a sorta drive to the song. I'm not sure what the sound is. it's not exactly a kick, doesn't feel like a tom (maybe it is?), but it's not feeling very high end either. heard this anywhere else? wtf is it? my best guess is they scratched a kick or something but I'm not sure.

Not gonna lie, I think it's just bass notes, brev.

Either bass notes or ghosty kicks (or a combo).

Quite (dunno the term) bloomy bass. Kinda amped/mic'd.

Yeah, sounds like a ghost note kick maybe even reverse. To my ear it sounds like it’s layered with a scratch or reversed sample
