geez @BiggChev what a bassline. nice insert of the drums sample at 2:58. Everything pro here. It has a soundtrackish feel a like very much, something luxury, like playboy in Montercarlo.

@M.I.ndless man, no doubt, my fav of yours this one. The hi-hat in sixteenths fits perfectly, the effected drums or whatever it is at 1:24, brilliant choice, horns on point, pads, the deep bass, everything... in short, the beat would already be a gem, and then the vocal sample makes everything shine. If I didn't like the sound in your last beat (you said it was an old work), I would say it's no longer a problem at all for you.

@BiggChev , fucking love this shit. Everything right where it needs to be. As always, without a doubt, worthy of a win on this one. You really know how to structure a beat that keeps it interesting throughout, love the change-ups. The organ and piano and horns all have their time to shine. Great job!

Thanks @attila, I should have put this one in round one for Battle That, would still be in the comp...maybe...I went up against a beast in the first round. I really appreciate the feedback!

Sorry for the delay on the feedback. Worked all day Saturday then headed up to a friend's to watch the fight. Ended up having a lazy day yesterday just vegging on the couch watching Community.

This is a very polished piece of music. Great sample choice and treatment. Rhodes and guitar will always catch my attention. Bringing in the horns behind the vocals was a clever way to sneak them in and build depth without an abrupt change. What I didn’t catch it at first, but certainly felt, was that synth/sub bass. I would've gone for a traditional upright or electric bass - but the synth bass fit this really well and filled the low end out perfectly. Even the glitchy synth bit fits well and a cool creative decision. I love how well this beat flows and seamlessly moves from one theme to the next. Very dope!
