Should be a good one, but there's a much better but lesser know fight on May 18th - Matthysse vs Peterson. Both are beasts that will come to fight toe to toe.

I used to be a big fan of boxing, but after it went PPV i lost interest.

Yea it sucks when you gotta pay PPV for fights that turn out to be shit, but honestly you're missing out big time. Just stream the fights for free online and you'll see.

Almost got jumped by my boys last weekend when I said that Floyd was not a top 10 all time fighter. I was speaking as far as history, and including people I've never seen box. Now as far as boxer I have seen, or at least seen enough of, my ranking was like this.

1 Ali
2 Sugar Ray Leonard
3 Floyd
4 Roy Jones Jr

On top of almost getting jumped, almost got kicked out the house for not putting Mike Tyson on the list. Classic.
Floyd's performance was brilliant by the way. I never saw a boxer that figures opponents out and neutralizes them the way he does.

Yo, pacquiao is fighting brandon rios nov. 23. Be on the lookout for a clean KO marquez style.

The best fight i saw was eubanks v watson. Its a shame it ended so badly for watson. Tyson would be on my list simply because although not technical, he was a beast pre rape case. His unique technique was awesome to watch. He was like a pitbull.
Full disclosure, I tend to favor the more skilled, smooth, speedier athlete over the stronger, rougher ones in general. I learned that about myself relatively recent. Not just boxing, all sports, and life in general.

So I would favor:

Ali over Tyson
MJ and Kobe over Shaq and Malone (LeBron seems to be the best of both worlds though)
Biggie (smooth, slick) over Pac (hard, aggressive, in your face)
Kane over KRS
Marlo over Omar

It's good to know yourself.

On another note, an underrated boxer of his era was Joe Calzaghe. He seemed to have the softest punches, but evidently they weren't.

You almost got jumped by your own boys? LOL

Floyd is not a top 10 ATG yet, he still has 5 fights left and hopefully he will have better challenges and wins to confirm his place among the ATG's.

That's a sick fight. It'll definitely be a war as long as it lasts. Let's see how much Pacquaio has left. Pac was the one who really got me into boxing in the first place, so I would hate to see him get sparked out again.

Yea they got balls taking that fight. It's either gonna shoot pac back into the top 3 or it's gonna retire him. either way, sick fight. both of them will be throwing bombs and both of them have sick chins. If i had to bet on it, im leaning more towards rios. his chin is tougher than pac, and he has the age advantage. pac has seen too many wars and is past his peak at this point. plus that marquez ko hurt his confidence more than anything.

I'm not sure if his confidence has fizzled out a bit, but his chin likely has. Anyway, hopefully I'll be flying out to Macau to see that shit live! :)

Yea, they want to make it seem like he hasnt lost any confidence. But pac has never been good at losing. Before the bradley and marquez losses, the last time he lost a fight he cried like a lil bitch. A true champion should behave classy especially when they take an L.

Great news, the ref of Matthysse vs Peterson is none other than Steve "Kiss-of-death" Smoger. This should be a great one.

I rarely do this, but I'd like to question this statement. Why is Floyd a " duck ass nigga"? And why are none of his prior fights "real"?
