An idea for a massive battle : Software users VS Hardware users!
I don't know if this has been propose yet, but it would be cool to "settle " all the arguments with a bunch of match up battles: software users (reason, cubase, vst, etc) VS hardware users (mpc, motif, triton, etc). But the only problem would be the voting, cuz maybe some people who prefer... -
A more dirtyer sound in Reason 3?
I've been told that my sound are too clean, not cheesy or cheap, but too clean. Usually I uses the compressor and the Scream 4. Do you have any tip on how to make your sounds in Reason sound more grimy/dirty? -

Having a MAJOR PROBLEM with my M-audio midi controller : HELP
I don't know what I did but, suddenly, the key mapping is deranged! If press a "do" on my keyboard it's not really a "do", it's like it's playing 3 keys on the left instead. I don't know how to really explain it other than say that when I'M pressing the keys it's not the right one playing... -
How many people here makes beat with Cubase and VSTis?
I just found out how to use my asio drive perfectly so that there is no delay with the VSTis. So I started download Cubase VST 5 and a bunch of VSTi. I feel like the sequencing and the quantizing is kinda sucky, don't know if it's my setting but i'm not really use to making beats with it. How... -

How come I have NO midi delay with Reason, but have one major delay with Cubase/VSTs?
When I use my midi keyboard with Reason it's perfect, there's no delay at all (using a m-audio), but with the VSTs it ridiculous the delay, like 1 sec and a half! How come? -
Question on Recycle (with Reason)
I just started using Recycle and use it with the Dr Rex, after 2 years with Reason lol. But i don't know why, but when i put it in the Dr Rex, the sample sound robotized, it doesn't sound as fluid as when i use the sample with the NN-XT. What might be the problem? -

Why is it easier to take the vocal off of an old song??
I realized that, when I use Cool Edit Pro 's take vocal off, it works well with song from the 60-70s, but If I try it with todays music it doesn't work? Does someone know the reason why? I guess it has something to do with the way we record today but does someone knows the TRUE reason?
