    Mixing advice? Speakers(monitors) vs headphones

    Going to need a better description of "hollow" When you listen to commercial tracks in your headphone and then on your speakers... do they also sound hollow? If your mixes sound hollow on your speakers, but commercial mixes sound fine then; - it's either a problem with your headphone response...

    I remember on some lite version of cubase, using those earpad type earphones, I remember producing with one ear pad on, and thinking the pan knob was making the kick more powerful. When I finally put my other earpiece on, that's how I learnt what panning was.

    Congrats @Mike Chief After R1 listening back, I don't think your mix was as bad as initially thought. I also think the overall vibe of the beat is just so strong it outweighs any deficiencies in the mix --- so fully deserved. I voted for it in every round since. Where was the sample from?
