Best headphones for mixing?
I got HoRNet VHS on sale for $1 recently. It's not perfect but it has helped to identify some mix issues and has reduced the rounds of tweaks I need to make after listening on other set ups. I'll see how it compares to dearVR on my next beat. -

So I cheated a bit and title is a little misleading because it gets clicks, but the main sample is actually from a Frank Sinatra AI cover of Thriller, based on the Postmodern Jukebox jazz cover of thriller. The hat and clap pattern is catchy. I don't mind the swing in the piano, but I think having such a difference in the drum/piano rhythm would make it tough for a vocalist, so I think drilling down to one main rhythm may help it flow better. I also think it needs better quality sounds in general...- Dusty B

Right. I try to look at my DAW like it's a piece of hardware that can't connect to the outside world. Obviously a quick search here or there if I'm in fine-tune mode, but otherwise I try to close everything out. It's like my nightly therapy. I've been making ~4-5 beats a week with that approach...- Dusty B

Some 8 bit vibes...
Really like the scratch effect, adds a nice element. The shift from the guitar to synth was smooth, and I like how the 8-bit vibes evolved throughout the track. Solid work here.
