ha, oh yea this is just a reference track that I can listen to Lord Lav's performance and see if he needs to do any retakes. Its not mixed properly at all. @KDVS it has an interesting feel but it seems like it lacks direction at times. I do like your voice a lot though. I like how the track builds and builds. What's the typical genre that you sample from first?
Back when I dug for vinyl I would look for either Jazz or just strange stuff, the weirder the better. Now I dig either with spotify or YouTube, and its fantastic! :)- thedreampolice

Sadly the entire "the money comes from touring" thing is a myth. Touring is really expensive. I do agree that if an artist tours he must have merch, a physical cd, shirts etc. but the money these days is in publishing. Read this on touring...- thedreampolice

Which microphone?
phantom power does not make a mic better, just different. and no dear god dont get a USB mic, get the interface. It will leave you in a more flexible position, to buy a better mic down the road if you want and to hook up other things to your computer to record from.- thedreampolice
