i've been accepted in a sound engineering school, still need the funding, so i figured i'd try to learn the basics of protools seeing how i use cubase and have very limited logic knowledge and never used a mac, all of which are used at the school. man, i had to search all over for a metronome... -
how do u name your tracks?
one time i was editing some audio but using my flat monitor like a laptop and then open cubase. when prompted to name the folder i was too lazy to get up and type so i just copied and pasted a word from a notepad game faq i had opened, digital devil saga 2, and used that for the name. i now... -

not to argue or nothing but actual sampling came after session musicians and simple but hard ass drum and keyboard tunes. that being said, i do both, but prefer sampling:D. now if i knew how to play real instruments, like piano, guitar, etc i'd sample myself -
how many hours in the lab?
it varies between 6-10 hours, hell sometimes i don't anything 'cause i haven't caught a vibe. life and payin' those bills takes away from the time workin' on your craft. -
using signatures on your beats
even though i don't have one right now i'd rather use a signature instead of a tag only 'cause i find 'em to annoying after awhile, but that's just me -
