    Ehr, whatever on the back of the SP, I assume it's a 1/4" jack, the laptop probably has 1/8" jack. so that's 2 x mono male 1/4" jack ( left and right ) to stereo male 1/8" jack. DAP has those cables, you should be able to get them anywhere...

    It's a coding issue, mac doesnt run vst, It needs the AU adapter for it, a lotta plugs haven't been correctly coded by the AU dudes and that's why they crash ? Mind you, on a G5, x 2.5Ghz, 10Gb of Ram you can run a 128 reverbs, record and playback at the same time and it wont crash hehehe...

    Look for a yamaha clavinova on ebay or something...electronic piano with weighted keys and midi I/O/T. Personaly, the best of keys I ever played on were on the Juno106 when thinking of a non piano like controller.
