    Maybe true, but these days you can fit an IDE cardreader in your mpc2k(xl) for a few bucks, you still wont have USB but who cares hehe. 32mb can be a bitch but still, 32mb on drums are a lot of drums. That Akai ADR15 is probably the hottest mpc around, thing is nobody has it hehe.

    well, you can always check with the support guys at KRK, they should know best if the fluid messes when placed flat or in different angle. In any case you still get stuck on the shape of the tweeter.

And I do mean the KRK's, if you look at a Genelec you notice that both drivers aren't mounted close to eachother opposed to the KRK where the speaker's shape runn into the other...

    @Fade We have a some what freaky controlroom but we're pretty much into vintage gear, but it gives the same effect. Dimm the lights and you see all the leds, vu's and displays from the racks, it's a friggin' spaceship hehe. @Merc There's a new spaceballs coming sometime next year...

    So that all drivers are leveled at earhight, It makes sense if you think about it. Just try it out for yourself and see if you hear the difference ( this does depend on how the room is build, acousticly prepared or not makes hellofa contrast).

    It shouldnt be a problem, I dont think the dome tweeters are based on fluids ( in that case you have to unmount them and make them stand upside again when monitor is placed on his side). This is an issue on genelecs for example.

    I'd try to save up some more, get the new genelecs '29 active nearfields and add a cheap 0404 for the moment. Rocksolid, mpc is indeed a luxury issue, the card and nearfields will make such a difference.
