@dac Kanye was already very well to do from selling his beats before anyone heard of him as a rapper.
@dox yea, I think what he is doing is not traditional hip-hop
@Dac I agree, with one exception.
Kayne is amazing at, music (we all agree) and making AMAZING hooks that get stuck in your head, this is an art in itself and something he should get props for. As far as flow goes I think he is a good rapper, not an AMAZING rapper like jay/em/gift of gab/etc...
Have you guys not heard "Dark Twisted Fantasy"?? Man its art all the way through. Also Kanye's persona is just an act no different than Gene Simmons. At that level its like WWF, its all theater.
Hey man, this song has got me through some hard times. Trust me I have been there!
Honestly the best thing you can do now is create. Get your anger and frustration out in your art. Even if it doesn't make sense at the time, get it out or its poison!
I agree dac, but I would say that he actively sought those people out. He networked his ass off and made things happen for himself. and yea it is WRONG if you promise someone and then don't deliver on your word. But I don't think that is what he meant.
note how the chart ends in 2009, 2010 was the biggest year for digital downloads and 2011 will be even bigger. Face it Dac, its over!
Also the chart is in dollars not units, so fail on you!
ok and here is another chart for you, see how digital is bigger.
How can you look at this and not say the format is dead? or at least becoming largely irrelevant.
@dac sigh from the article "Apple gained four percentage points over the year-ago quarter to snatch 28% of the market. Amazon surged by three percentage points to tie Wal-Mart for second place at 12% of the total market." and those are 2009 numbers
@dox my bad, the small local bands SELL...

even the small local shows I have been playing EVERY band hands out more download codes...
there is no longer DRM in the itunes store and there has not been for a while.
Apple can go 20 years on the cash it has on hand if it stops selling ALL products. I mean honestly media is already dead. Netflix streaming is more popular that DVD's itunes is more popular than buying a CD, Kindle...
