    I would like to chime in and say when it comes to filtering there isnt a one size fits all approach. You have to treat each sample individually, for example... if you intend to add your own bassline, then high pass filter below around 200hz to taste to make room for your bassline. Or another...

    In the last battle I thought Id lost in the 3rd round, but the final was a great example of how an oldskool boom bap sampled beat can win, I still think Id have lost that one if I didnt have such a bass heavy mix. Anyway, nice concept.

    You can use the same beat for every round, it says during the signup/upload process. Although its frowned upon as its hardly creative. Im sure some people might vote down a track that has been used for the other three rounds, maybe not. What the fuck do I know?
