    thats a pretty dope beat, i know its very simplistic but the drum beat is dope and the minimal variation like the added bell and the kick drop out with chorus keeps things interesting.

    i think if you dj'ed you would understand the importance of 12" singles. They are much easier to work with when doing a set. You can set a play order by how they are stacked in the case, you can put one on and know where it starts without trying to see in low light conditions where that...

    We had this discussion on L.E.T.a few years ago and I put forward the problem of phase cancellation. I honestly cant remember the answer in that thread. But one way is to slightly delay(up to 32ms before its noticeably late) the filtered sample. This should stop the sounds cancelling each other...

    When i remix a song i generally start from the acapella then compose to it. So no music is finished before i add the pella. I never just slap a pella over a beat. Unless its recorded specifically to the beat.

    every time i have tried to do it i come across some issue with cubase and reason rewired that i cannot figure out how to fix. the one im stuck on now is i cannot record midi from the controller into reason while its rewired into cubase. i also find the latency is affected a lot by rewiring...

    i use SOUNDFORGE for chopping samples, REASON for arranging samples and composing, I use ACID PRO to sync the acapellas to reason, I then track everything out into wavs so i can then import into CUBASE and mixdown.
