well both 6 and 7 made huge improvements to the issues you described. I would never remix a track in logic, I think the perfect remix environment is ableton with reason rewired to it. Use logic for what its great at midi sequencing in real time. In logic I can hit loop playback hit record lay...- thedreampolice

Well it does have sdif so you can get better convertors and better pre's. I usually like Maudio stuff a bit better on the budget side. Also you can then buy pro tools mpowered for your maudio stuff. I like the 410 http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/FireWire410-main.html- thedreampolice

The pre amps are ok, but that unit has no flexibility. When you save up and get nicer preamps you wont be able to use it.- thedreampolice
