    Beat This! Competition - July 9-10, 2025

Great material, mine doesn't stand out, sorry, but the average quality is quite good. Compared to last Beat This!, I have fewer doubts. There is one work that stands out for the artistic side (technically, it is excellent, but from that point of view, many others are not far behind either)...

    Beat This! Competition - July 9-10, 2025

I was working on something, then I thought, I'll make a new one because this stuff is quick and doesn't seem strictly hip hop. I ended up with something that seemed, if not immortal, at least nice. Now that I've finished it, my ears are fried, and I can't decide if it's decent or crap.

good amount of negative space, so nice. Someone say "bass". If you want to add it (it works anyway imho), please, keep this dry style that's very pleasing.

Okay, everything is right, especially the idea that having limits helps creativity, and since technology now removes these limits, sometimes it's useful to set them. But once again, we are looking at it from the producer's point of view—what entertains us, what helps us. From the listener's...

You talk to me as a producer, and I'm fine with that. I don't even know what Slice is. Here I'm not talking about what I do and how I do it. But about what I love. It's not that I love making music based on samples, it's that I love listening to it. As I mentioned in some comments, take 'Glory...

I see. I guess we are talking about weak songs. What I mean Is that there's not much more than a voice and a little of guitar over Isaac Hayes sample in Glory Box by Portishead. Still It Is a powerful masterpiece.
