I don't necessarily agree with that. Are you using outboard or in-the-box? in my signal chain a whisper is audible, but we are also recording in a sterile environment (floating booth). You have to leave room for inflection and dynamic changes in the vocal, so i wouldn't set it right before the...- JRockPsycho

MPC2000XL Yay or Nay?
i really like the feel of the 2000xl, its just sexy and comfortable to me, the 1000 never felt right. the mpd has larger square pads and with the sensitivity upgrade and plant of assignable knobs i think i should be fine.- JRockPsycho

cuz i like the layout of the 16 pads, and the feel of the mpc. Hence why i wanted to get the 2000xl in the first place. I dont like the small rectangular pads on my 1000, and two of the pads are dead, also setting it up to control ableton is a b*tch- JRockPsycho

its all about the software, i watched a bunch of videos on the maschine's software was just not feeling it, really all i want to do is trigger chopped samples, which i now do by time stretching in ableton then just dropping them into drum rack. and also the 16 levels feature of the mpd i love...- JRockPsycho
