I don't think it is. Reggae is reggae, it's all quite similar really.

This. However, some really over compressed/drained the life out of their beats. I know it's a thing nowadays to make a beat as loud as possible, but the dynamics got totally lost in the process imo...

Really would've liked to join this one but on holiday. Damn shame cos I love reggae + hip hop. NWA 'Alwayz Into Something' is still one of my fave beats of all time. I feel us UK boys have the edge in this. Gonna get back to the hotel and have a listen to the beats. There better be fire if I'm taking time out of the holiday!

Why this is hard to vote:
- some reaaally capture the reggae vibe
- some are hip-hop/good, but don't capture the vibe as strong
- many didn't take the opportunity to use vox

Then you have to take ^all that into consideration, whilst considering all the usual voting factors.

initially I'm shocked about there only being 10 participants... but a common theme I heard was 'really struggling to make something reggae', 'really struggling to make that reggae vibe'.

Weird, they should have been open yesterday afternoon. Unless you did it too early, then did it today now too late.
