Thats not too bad, i guess. kind of on the low side, and all the gear ive owned has been shitty versions of things i really wanted. but i get what i need to out of it, and ive probably made at least that much from selling beats.

I bought most of the gear in 2000. I'm a perfect example why you should master one piece at a time and then move on. Being young and dumb I bought most of the gear too quick without taking into account the learning curve on each piece. Big headache when I started!

Calkwalk Pro Audio 9
Sonar 4-Producer Edition
AArdvark 24/96 Audio/Midi Interface
MPC 2000XL
EMU-Mo Phatt Sound Module
Korg Triton 61 Key Keyboard
Yahmaha NS-10
Beringer Mixer
cheap pair of headphones
Phonic Mixer
HP Pavilon 9800
compressor (?)
M-Audio 4x4 patchbay
plenty of vinyl

congrats! and how is it? better then u expected or worse

much better...im sittin here with the mpc 4000 and roland side by side and the roland just kills it from my point of view...loaded the same sounds into both, put filters on, sequencd the same beats, and the mv keeps coming out ahead.

The Alesis DM Pro: Got cheap on Ebay cause it wasnt as described simply-so he let me have it for $60!!!
Its a really good drum module with ALOT of variety & quality kits constructed. The only bad parts are...
Nearly every kit has reverb & echo. And a couple of samples have been recorded with a reverb & echo's so you cant remove it or turn it off-i dont kno what the hell they thinking doing that.

The E-Mu Proteus: Yea i got it on Ebay for "$400-BUY IT NOW" in perfect condition w/manual !!!
Simply its a must have.It has alot of instant use sounds&quality with great easy control over editing sounds just the way you like it unlike the much smaller & slower Proteus 2000.Personally this is now my favorite piece of equipment.
