Annalisa Flip:

Nice intro, bass comes in nicely. Sound selection is dope too. I like the composition, but do feel it still needs some work. It's a little too static/predictable to my liking. (A bit on the "safe" side if that makes sense.) Adding even more swing to the drums and piano (bounce) and really empasize the change of chords at the end of each 4 or 8 bars would get the job done IMO. For example, at 1:30, bass goes down but the strings stay the same... If you let the strings go up (in the same scale, maybe even syncoped or with double tempo) the track will generate more movement/excitement. As a standalone instrumental, I think a bridge would really finish it.

Rapid Fire:

This is dope, I like the dark moods/atmospehere, proper brag and boast beat! Nice job on the part where the extra strings come in. I guess that's what you ment by inspired by Lord Finesse (and the sleighbells of course)... @ 1:02 it seems like the bass is clashing, but maybe it's insuperable because it was already in...

Thanks, I will definitely be returning to them both and will keep your comments in mind when I do. Will be back to beatmaking after work on thursday

Nice one @TWU

Me and @BiggChev did a rapid fire sample flip challenge. 30 mins from starting from scratch to posting it on here.

Will try make it a regular thing for anyone who is about in the chat. Sometimes it what's you need. No time to overthink and the fact that @2GooD Productions was inspired by it says it must work to some degree.

Annalisa:
I think this is a great example of your sound comes across a bit more stripped back and reserved. The drums still have weight and the mix has your usual brightness to it, but the whole piece feels just a bit more restrained. Musically, it's a very 'complete' beat. Even that bit at 1:37, fits, but I don't think I would've missed it - nor would I have grown bored of what was already going on. The horns towards the end are great. The turn around at the 1:32 mark was really well done too!

Rapid Fire Flip:
This is cool, I like how you took @hosie's soulful bit a bit darker. I love seeing these collabs and how one thing can morph into something else really fucking cool with someone else's influence. Definitely need to run some more Rapid Fires.
