Lots of improvement here from the last beat! The sample selection is cool and the main melodic phrase has a dope, chill/old school vibe. Nice little fills on the drums, and variations on the chops. It's a bit repetitive, but I feel like you put together a more cohesive beat here than the last. Mix needs some work, but that will come with time. Keep working away at it. Excited to hear what you make next!

Sorry brother, don't know how I missed yours. I like the more emotive and sympathetic vibe this started with. You've been on a bit of a funky tip recently eh? The wah-wah clavinet and muted trumpet sounds are really sweet. It's kinda weird hearing something more mellow and subdued from you. It's a good beat with a nice build and tons of emotion.

I have created another beat. It's an Ice Cube's "You know how we do it" sample. Any usefull critiques would be very helpfull
Much better than your last beat, I can hear a little clicking on one of your chops, its the second chop of the loop you have put together, it repeats four times in the loop. Its very minor.
As stated the mix could use a little work but I wouldn't worry too much about mixing right now, just stick with the basics of EQ/filtering, panning and some reverb and delay.
Use panning to get a sound and a counter sound to play off of each other, like a question and answer. Its a great way to start playing around with the stereo field, and putting things to the left and to the right. With this beat I think the first sound that comes in(I think its been chopped hence the little click on the second one) and the electric piano can play off of each other, Id pan the electric piano to the right a little as the first sound is already slightly left and the two would play off of each other nicely. Personally I usually pan my hi hat to the left, shakers to the right and get them playing off of each other too. Put a little reverb on your hats and snares too, it really helps them pop, room reverb works best with a short tail on it. But these are just guidelines. Nice work.

Definitely in my wheel house! Rhodes, strings, and chill acoustic drums. Am I that predictable?!? lol.

I like the mellow vibe of this. It’s quite a bit more restrained than your usually stuff. The vocals were a nice touch.

Would you be open to me putting some guitar on this? I’m thinking a clean, glossy, jazzy tone.

I really like the LDSR track too! It reminds me of something from RJD2’s first record. Looks like you’re in a jazz/soul mood these days?

That would be dope, it really needs something that goes along with the vocals as they were an afterthought and I ran out of time today to do something that goes along with them. I'll upload the wav to my Google drive and send a link. Just going to jump in the shower first
