What kind of Instruments do you use?

yeah if you can use them right, ethnic wind instruments are the shit. Like on Jay-Z's big pimpin. That beat was the shit. Sitars are pretty tight to, as are kotos other asian plucked instruments

as for playing live instruments and recording them to beats, i play:

guitar
bass
djembe
various percussion instruments
and anything else that makes noise

i don't understand the big deal about rhodes. I don't know how to get the best of them maybe. Cuz to me, I always associated them with LL Cool J,s I need Love, or any slow jam songs.
