the theme wasnt to make a rock beat, it was to make a hip hop beat using hard rock guitar
Aight so, besides for the winners that I congratulate, here are my personal takes:
my vote was at first going to @Stona Persona for that HEAVY eminem vibe, but the drum mixings were just eh, AND there was this other song that just kissed me in the ear... I still don't know who it was but I'm dying to see.
Aight it was @YannFer . I felt that it was gonna be you, not even fuckin round. I just knew. I mean who could it be besides you? man I fell in love with that song, really really loved it. great job, even though it wasn't "Hard rock", it got my vote by far.
HUGE Props to @Andante for the creative thinking and that dark dark vibe. Loved it!
@Iron Keys ur beat was on my top 3. real great job on the irritated drums.
and idk why I stepped away from the @crog85 beat while voting, but now that I listen that one was sick too.
but yeah yanny and andante's beats are the far-above top 2 for me, then crog and Iron then everyone else.

I'd get butthurt for all the time I put into my beat but honestly, this battle was just too enjoyable. so many dope beats both in the ones that placed and the ones that didn't. a fair share of tofu in the thread as well. awesome stuff.

@Vossi Beats it was your beat i thought the guitar was self played. I like the vibe, just wished more distortion on the guitar and some cleaner notes. buuuuut mad propz for playing yourself.
@2GooD Productions Really liked it, almost voted for it but for me personally it was too soft. no hate tho.
@LiveLargeBeats Maaaaaan this was almost perfect, i just missed something in there.
@YannFer Top stuff, goes really hard.
@Andante Killa Vibe, but i missed the emphasis on the guitar.
@Armani Hard stuff, too bad it didnt sound Hip Hop enough for me. Almost has a dark country vibe.
@Fury Beats By listening your beat i instantly had (positive) flashbacks of playing Command&Conquer Red Alert on PS1. Too much vocal/fx stuff going on for my taste.
@guitardep if you had better drums, i would ve voted for you, almost jizzed my pants listening to that guitar.
@Iron Keys I love the drums, also what you done with the kicks, those two separated kicks def got my attention. Drums are Endgame, but for me the guitar didnt cut it.
@Mahlhavoc Opposite as Iron Keys, nice guitar, meh drums. IMO still a nice beat.
@MELOHBEATS Too bright, too happy for my taste. It sounds like a rock ballad where the singer is confessing his feelings to his crush. For itself, pretty good. In this contest, kinda feels out of place. IMO.
@pressBIBLEthump No hate, really. My brain couldnt process your beat. I kinda liked the machine gun snares tho.
@RUCCER_TIME If this was a laid back theme battle, you da MVP. In this one it doesnt fit imo. Guitar was acoustic too, if my ears aint dead yet?

@crog85 Nice beat man, good choice on the Metallica "The Memory Remains", your shit is solid as always, was in my top choices but went with @LiveLargeBeats for the vote
@LiveLargeBeats , wasnt a big time hip hop type beat, somewhere between that and a matrix fight scene beat lol. Liked it though and the guitar was used very nicely, guessing it took a moment to come up with it.
@Stona Persona Loved the guitar, but not the beat. I think you could of done better with different drum line and maybe some better mixing, other than that was very cool.
@2GooD Productions as always, a well mixed production, good beat and all, didnt feel a bit of "Hard Rock Guitar" here, guess I am becoming hearing impared in my old age. Was a bit too slow as well for what IN MY MIND I imagined the theme to be. You know damn good and well I like your shit, so dont think I am bagging on YOU.
@YannFer Good beat, just feel it more on a Electric Light Orchestra level.
@Andante was a bit too slim on the guitar and pretty simple, not my cup of tea, but could hear some House Of Pain on that though.
@Armani good beat, sounds like a GNC commercial with some guys pumping iron then coming out with a new Testosterone Booster. lol. Or an action movie trailer. was a nice beat though.
@Fury Beats Like the Van Halen intro, I know the main guitar, just cant place it atm. Was a good guitar and beat, just didnt feel they meshed together well.
@guitardep Nice guitar man, drums were bad IMO though and while the mix wasnt horrible, it wouldnt of been how I would of mixed it. Guitar a lil loud for a hip hop type beat, but thats me.
@Iron Keys good beat and drums, sounds like it was a bit tough to mesh it all together. Was a bit slow for what I imagine a "Hard Rock Guitar" beat would be. Keep the drums for later for sure!
@MELOHBEATS Nice guitar, good drums, mixing was off... drums did not pop. The kick and toms etc were too low. Also, not a very hip hop type beat sounds more like a possible hard rock slow jam. Good shit though as far as musically... just up those drums.

Really pleased about the feedback on my drums.
My regret is not getting to submit my proper beat, my guitarist let me down and didn't send the files across. Else I feel it woulda been a shootout between me and crog.
You might get to hear it somepoint.
