    the music you produce

I like 70's soul/blaxplotiation becasue it had varied content and dealt with more topics then just "getting ur freak on". Of course there is nothing wrong with getting down but i dont wanna hear no r&b bitch sing about it. 70's soul dealt with all sorts of topics including social issues and...

    the music you produce

If by r&b u mean j dilla and slum village then thats as close as i'd go, basically r&b producers just bite hip hop and put some bitch signing on it. so i dont mind the beats but the singing and lyrics in rnb is boring. in the words of copywrite "fuck r&b and anyone who sings it"

    Drum Tweaking Techniques

that is very true u can get knocking drums without an mp but if ur trying to get the exact same sound u may be hard pressed to do so. mainly due to the unique circuits used in the mpc 60, those A/D's do add something to the sound that is hard to explain but is definately noticable

    Finally Got Some Money!!!Need Help

I would say cop an mpc1000 or whateva version u was gonna get, if u wanted it that much u'll be inspired to use it alot and that might bring a different vibe to ur music that u found difficult yo achieve with software. forget about the monitors why pay £1000 for speakers? thats insane if when...

    Is the thrill gone?

I think software can be a real uninspiring way of working, i can be good for getting quick ideas down and for arranging but when it comes to actual production..... so im thinking yeah change it up if u get bored using just one method try something different

a little story can give you hope?

    How many beats a day?

thats the ticket, nowadays I aint easily satisfied with beats, so alot of the things i do get deleted, im only keeping stuff that furthers my sound in the direction i wanna go in.

    Knockin' Drums

If ur using the built in sounds use the drum from the rex player instead of the samples that came with re-drum

    Worst Experience In the lab???

Ive lost beats in the past when i used to work mainly with computers, this was part of the reason i moved more into harware. but sometimes when I lost nuff beats that inspired me to come back even harder, so dont quit. one thing that I did which pissed me off as well as my boy, is i...

    Jus copped some records again......

I need to start doing some bulk buying cos these record shops r not serious with they prices. but im thinking most of the stuff u buy in bulk will be crap, but u can at least u can get a lot of stuff u can use as trade value with these shops.
  18. J

    Drum Patterns

get a midi controller, cos if u program drums on a grid its ur more likely to have stiff drum patterns or end up programming the same drum patterns over and over again.

Have you ever Ran out of Samples??

smoke some herb and listen to other peoples music to get ideas and insipiration, go digging and get some different types of records to those that u usually buy.
