    either export the track as a .wav file at the starting point or you can try exporting the session as an .omf file.

    ya, understanding proper compression is a life time of learning, there is so much to know. I spent the last 5 years really studying compression and I feel like am just scratching the surface.

    in my classess at berklee we actually looked at the differences between how compressors where used on Tom petty track vs an eminem, when it is actually pointed out in that way you can really hear it. Even on "lose yourself" They have compressor pumping away on about every track.
