Waves Plugins can't **** with VOXENGO Plugins

Well waves and Voxengo are two differents types of plugins for different jobs. Vexengo is good for coloration. Waves are more transparent. It just depends on what you need to do. They complement each other.

    Rode Nt1-a Mic

For male hip hop vocals I almost always use a dynamic mic. I like the MD421 and the Sure SM7 (not the SM57)

    Question for MPD16 owners/users

I thought it was about the same as the MPC2000 You have to hit those pads hard! I really like my MPD16. I would take that and reason over and MPC any day.

im in the market for a new vocal mic any suggestions?

I would say shy away from that. Looks like you have to modify it just to accept XLR. Go for the Grace 101 or the RNP pre amp.

    ProTools M Powered

"6.8 and it's pretty crappy there" No doubt there. "But that's only possible with a minimum of an HD1 setup and 2 96 i/o's." Yes I agree this is one of the reasons I hate pro tools. Silly limitations. I think the actual PT software is better for multitracking and overdubs. Sonar is really...

    ProTools M Powered

"For multitrack audio, all three are about the same" Um no, I hate pro tools with a passion. But if you are recording a rock band (24+ tracks at once) doing studio overdubs and so on then pro tools will beat sonar/cubase hands down. But I agree virutal synths rewire and so on is a bit better in...

    ProTools M Powered

"Cubase and Sonar are superior to it" I hate when people say those sorts of things about any software. Its simply not true. For multitrack recording and editing Pro tools blows both of them away. For Midi editing and sequencing Cubase and Sonar are better. What software are you most familiar...
