Mixing question in FL
How do you know what your final mix level is in FLStudio if the master track in the mixing console is only telling you what the mix coming "in" is peaking at and not the final mix going out? If you add any effects to the master track, is there a db meter that shows if I'm still at -3 or -6db as... -

Looking for hip hop tracks about....
struggle, endurance, or children. i'm not looking for a big list, just throw out a few songs that come to mind. i need to add some cuts to the hook for a project i'm working on and those 3 words describe the theme of one of the songs. i'd prefer to keep it real hip hop, underground type...- djryval

Boosey & Hawkes - "Library", sample used by Jay-Z
just curious, after listening to this sample, did they have someone replay the sample or was it taken directly from the original and altered using software? i can't figure out how they got it to sound the way they did on jay-z's track. -

Is there a way to tell if your soundcard supports 24-bit sampling?
It's probably a newbie question but how can I tell? My computer is a not so old hand-me-down but it had an upgraded soundcard when it was originally purchased. I was just wondering where you can look to see what it supports. Thanks. -

Fruity Slicer question
got a question, not sure if it can be done or not. i'm currently using fl5 but i've been a user since at least fl3. i know that when you bring up the slicer properties after you've loaded a loop that you can adjust the number of slices using the two knobs on the lower right part of the pop-up... -

When exporting your beats to wav files in FLStudio...
are you supposed to use a bit depth of: 16 bit 32 bit float (0.24) 32 bit float (16.8) i've always left it at the default (16) but now i'm curious if i need to use something different. i don't fully understand how much difference in sound (or other issues) there are between the 3... -
