I have a pair of Alesis Monitor One's they are ok, the bass response is a bit inaccurate but I have mixed many albums on them. go to my site and listen to the fourth time around songs, they where mixed on the Monitors ones

I use the 16 with Reason and Pro tools/logic and it works great. The pads on the mpd16 are not sensitive enough for my tastes and it looks like the 24 will correct that. Very easy to use!
well they bill there stuff as pro and it simply is not, its cool for gaming and what not but there converters are just not up to snuff to do high end audio work. Also have you ever had to get warranty out of them, it sucks!
They are different tools, there are things I can do in the digital world that I could never do on tape/analog. But there are things I miss about tape sometimes. I love Reason, I also love mpc's but If I had to choose one it would be reason.
"Chicago is the worst fuckin airport in the world"
Totally I just flew from ne to fort wayne in. Went to denver then ohare then fort wayne. Chicago is a great city with a crappy air port.
A ghost stroke is a low velocity hit, I work with a drummer that is the king of ghost snare notes. Just get a really low (volume) note that is a little before or after the main kick beat and you should be good to go.
