DBX 166XL. BIG PROBLEM! Help please
Hey everybody I just got a DBX 166xl compressor and it doesn't seem to be working for me :mad: . I hooked everything up, but i don't get any sound from my mic. I just get this staticy sound, like when you see snow on your tv. Please help me I read the manual, but i still can't figure it out. -

Will a Dell get the job done?
I'm about to get custom pc built, but i'm thinking, If just got a dell with a 3.2 p4 processor, 2hd's and a gig of ram, would that do the job. I'm going be using cubase, reason and a emu 1820 card, with a avalon 737 and a rode nt 1000. I'm not sure right now, but if i were to use alot of plugins... -

EMU 120M V.S DIGI 002 rack
Wassup Ya'll What do you guy's think is better the emu 120m or the digi 002 rack. I just need to hook my avalon 737 and some monitors and a keyboard up to it, and pro tools is to expensive. Do you think the emu and And Cubase SL 3 will give me pro quality results and won't suck my avalons... -

What does the HUI DAW Controller do?
What's Up everybody, I was looking around for a good soundcard and saw the Mackie HUI DAW Controller, what does this thing do? I know it controls you recording software but is it also an audio interface like the Digi 002. If anybody has had any experience with this product, please tell me how it is. -
