This happen with any of you? (or any other variations) ... When I draw on inspiration, or when it hits randomly, I can usually 'see' the musical parts in my head in the form of a piano-roll and step-sequencer, and so on. Anyone else see the matrix? -

Okay, from watching that tutorial on Thor, I clocked how to get Zeta+ to piss about with the lfo/cutoff. Not sure if I can add automation to the lfo range/amount. If I can i'll do that, if not I'll just modulate it while mod wheel. -

Yeah I was thinking it was made in Massive. It's kinda interesting, just like how the Moog had a defining sound, I think Massive will probably be a defining sound of this era. Can usually tell when something's came from Massive. -

I have reason sitting next to me on a CD waiting to be installed. Still debating getting it installed or not. To get the main sound I've kind of made a Saw sound, several together, as rough as I could get it, then I've thrown it through waves guitar amp. I've done this in Zeta+ by the way... -

Mixing tip... (seeing as EQ is flying around a lot) if you've produced your track really well, and chosen really good elements, and chosen those elements smartly, you likely won't need to use much EQ. It depends though. -

Yeah personally if I EQ before compression (whatever sense) it's usually for this reason... To control what parts of the signal are triggering the compression (more of a creative use so to speak) but also, if you have a hefty bass that is really smashing hard, this could trigger your compressor... -

@both posters... Both beats are quite groovy, liking what they doing. Dangerous... Flow of the rapper ain't bad too, got a cocky ish style, but I think some of it coulda done with some re-takes, the vocal technique lacked in a couple bits. But good though. Yeah I just mono'd the channel, but it should be giving out a stereo signal, it was only coming out left. Mono'ing the channel works, but the plugin itself should be giving out a stereo signal. Listening to my track, compared to how it sounded mp3 in headphones, sounds fine out my monitors...
