    Line in / Microphone in too loud when recording vinyl

    Would getting a mixer help reduce loudness? I have a Lenovo T60p. I have a Pioneer Vinyl player that goes to an pre-amp that then connects to my laptop and it's too loud. I tried reducing volume on my laptop recording but it's a no go... any ideas if getting a small mixer would help...

    Add bass to tracks
