Oh yeah... I don't only pilfer free samplez from iTunes, I have about 12 crates of records and I stopped counting CDs at 1000. I take a sample from anywhere TV, DVD's whatever... I once sampled some sh-t I played on my daughter's baby piano... -

I agree... I went thought a sample-less phase and it really helped me develop some new skill, but when I started using them again, it was like coming back home after a trip... It made me better at blending the two together... You've gotta do what sounds best. If you accidentally stumble... -

What Can I Do To Remove Static And Fuzz In Recordings
Is it a sharp crackle only on the louder sections of the music? This could be your levels. What's kind of mixer? It could also be a bad crossfader, but this is unlikely if themixer is new. Hum, Buzz, Crackle or Static? More than one? -
