    how long do you normally spend on a track

    I'm never really really finished a beat until somebody buys it. Then I MIGHT leave it alone. I'm never satisfied. I'm learning to let them be whatever they are. I'll usually just need like 3 days with about 3 hours a day to get something I can deem worthy.

    U can assign the pads from the unit or with the software that comes with it. They are just like the MPC pads. The only difference is they unit isn't as heavy and weighted down so it not feel as solid when you really start pounding on them.

    It sounds like u saved the whole CD as one session. Is there an advantage of bouncing a whole CD to one track if that's what ur doing? I'm just curious why you don't bounce individual songs?

    Are you talking about real basses or synths? If it's a synth you probably just have to find the right patch.

    i think it's all about what you're comfortable with. when i first went from a dr 202 to an MPC i'd always go back and make beats on the 202 while i was still learning the MPC because i was comfortable with the 202. i knew it inside and out so i could manipulate it easily. when i got into the MPC...
